Mumbai Indians (MI) team management has seemingly divided its own fanbase into two factions. Ever since the franchise replaced decade-long skipper Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya, fans of the former have been vocally expressing their rage, be it through social media trolling or via on-field jeering and abuses.

As evidenced this IPL 2024 season, Pandya has been greeted with unwelcoming boos and taunts by the local crowd at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Moreover, the dashing all-rounder was also jeered at Ahmedabad and Hyderabad during Mumbai Indians’ first couple of games of the season.

Amidst all the chaos, one particular fan seems to be extremely respectful of the decision made by the Mumbai Indians team management, considering she recently gave her “unbiased” and “rational” opinion while speaking on Mumbai Indians Fan TV.

Sameeksha Takke defends Pandya amidst chaos

After Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians ravaged RCB by seven wickets on April 11, a ‘Mumbai Indians Fan TV’ reporter caught up with a social media influencer, Sameeksha Takke, of the franchise outside the Wankhede Stadium.

When the fan in question was asked to give her take on the entire Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya captaincy turmoil, she defended the team management’s decision of making a decision and standing by it.

Moreover, the fan also defended Hardik Pandya by claiming that the all-rounder did not ‘snatch away’ any leadership responsibility from Rohit Sharma.

Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians sustained three demoralizing defeats upfront before finding their way with emphatic wins over Delhi Capitals and RCB in successive games.

As of now, they are placed at number seven on the 10-team IPL 2024 points table.

Hardik Pandya and co. will now face defending champions CSK in match number 29 of the tournament on April 14 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
