Shimron Hetmyer proved his worth once again on Saturday during Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2024 clash against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. The Southpaw scored 14 off three balls against Arshdeep Singh, one of the best in the business in death overs, to give his side a hard-fought three-wicket victory.

Rajasthan were chasing 148, and it should have been an easy target to see off against a spirited Punjab attack. However, they failed to keep control of the game, slipping from 89/2 to 115/5 in no time. In the process, Punjab were back in the game before Heymyer had other ideas in his mind to turn the tide.

Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 27 off 10 balls, which included one four and three flat-batted sixes. Arshdeep, who bowled two consecutive dots to begin the 20th over, had no clue once Hetmyer got going before eventually becoming helpless from the receiving end.
