Former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan, once again put on his dancing shoes and showcased his vibrant dance moves at the Star Sports studios on Monday, joining the fans in celebrating Afghanistan's remarkable victory against Sri Lanka in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023.


Irfan & Harbhajan danced together to celebrate Afghanistan's win 

Teaming up with legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh, the duo's dance was an exuberant expression of the joy and happiness that Afghanistan's performance has sparked. 

Afghanistan clinched the game by 7 wickets against the Lankans at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Fans were treated to a glimpse of this celebratory moment when Pathan shared a video of his dance on Instagram.

He captioned the post, "What a great win from Afghans. Many congratulations on your 3rd win. Beating 3 former world champions."


The spirited performance by Afghanistan has not only been a source of entertainment but has also shifted the dynamics of the World Cup 2023 points table. Their recent win sees them inching closer to the semi-finals, having bested previous champions including England, Pakistan, and now, Sri Lanka. 

It is worth mentioning that while the Afghans managed to win just one match in the last two World Cups, they have already won three this year, showing how far they have come.

This isn't the first time Pathan's dancing has made headlines during this World Cup. Following Afghanistan's win against Pakistan, Pathan danced and celebrated on the field with Afghanistan's star spinner, Rashid Khan.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan's next match is against the Netherlands on November 3 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With their recent form, expectations are high, and fans will be eagerly waiting for the Afghanistan team to give them more reasons to dance.
