We are inching towards the latter stage of the World Cup 2023. Team India is the only team, who are yet to lose a game as they have won all six of the games. Their success in the tournament is undoubtedly because of the bowlers, as they have been remarkable in this so far. 

The bowlers are overshadowing the batters in the ongoing tournament with their exceptional skills. The Indian bowlers are enjoying their home conditions, whether the spinners or the seamers, all of them have stepped up in different situations. Not only they have picked wickets but they also have bowled economically.

One of the only two guys who were a part of the 2011 World Cup winning team, Ravichandran Ashwin was not even in the preliminary squad of India. After the injury of Axar Patel, Ashwin was called as a replacement but has played just one game in this tournament so far which was against Australia. As the Indian bowlers managed to bowl Australia out for just 199 runs, Ashwin in his quota of ten overs, gave just 34 runs and picked up a wicket as well. His economy rate which was 3.40, is the best among the bowlers who have bowled ten or more overs.


Ravindra Jadeja - 3.76

The premium all-rounder of the Indian team, Ravindra Jadeja has been exceptional with the ball in the tournament so far. In the game against New Zealand, Jadeja also spent some time in the middle and finished the chase contributing with the bat. Having played all six games, he has bowled over 50 overs and has an impressive economy rate of 3.76. With eight wickets so far, he has been the perfect all-rounder so far. 


Jasprit Bumrah - 3.92

Ever since his comeback, Jasprit Bumrah has been more lethal than he was before. He is picking early wickets and bolting those toe-crushing yorkers to clean up the tail. Having bowled over 50 overs, he has picked up 14 wickets with an amazing economy rate of 3.92. He has been bowling to his full potential and is one of the leading wicket-takers of the tournament as he is just behind Adam Zampa, who is at the top with 16 wickets.


Mohammad Nabi - 4.28

Mohammad Nabi is the most experienced player in the current Afghanistan team. His team has played a total of 158 ODI matches and Nabi has featured in 153. He has been there with the team from the beginning of their cricket journey. With this much experience, he is one of the most economical bowlers in this World Cup with an economy rate of 4.28. Having bowled 40 overs across six games, he has picked up three wickets as well. 


Mohammed Shami - 4.47

The Indian fast-bowler, Mohammed Shami has been on fire in this edition of the World Cup. Due to Hardik Pandya's injury, he has played just two matches so far. With nine wickets in just two games, Shami has shown his potential and will be playing every game from here on. He has bowled just 17 overs with an impressive economy rate of 4.47 and the way he is swinging the ball, he will surely be a part of the knockout stage.


Kuldeep Yadav - 4.50

Team India's ace of spade, Kuldeep Yadav delivered another amazing spell last night against England. Ever since he has made some rectifications in his bowling, he has been a wicket-taker for the Rohit's team. The chinaman has bowled a total of 58 over so far and has been able to bowl with a good economy rate of 4.50. Not only he has been economical but he has also taken ten wickets in just six games.
