Striking at 381.48, Bisht’s century moment in the eighth over of the innings even prompted Punjab Veers captain Harsh Beniwal to applaud his opener’s six-hitting glory from the dugout.

Ankit Nagar, batting at number five, also clattered Bangalore Bashers bowlers with 15 towering maximums and two additional boundaries to score an unbeaten 98 from 21 balls. Ankit Nagar even launched six of his 15 sixes in the space of six deliveries of an over to catapult Punjab Veers’ scoring rate in the backend of the innings.

All in all, Punjab Veers mounted 228-5 from 10 overs after batting first. Nagar and Rahul Bisht themselves accounted for 201 of those runs in just 48 legal deliveries with 30 maximums and five boundaries combined.
