Harry Brook celebrated England’s emphatic win over West Indies by drinking an alcoholic beverage at the Lord’s balcony. The match also marked the farewell Test of legendary England fast bowler James Anderson.

On Day 3 of the five-day bout, Ben Stokes and co. enveloped West Indies for just 136 to claim a huge win by an innings and 114 runs to go 1-0 up in the three-match Test series.

Shortly after England registered a thumping win over West Indies in the first Test, middle-order batter Harry Brook took to the Lord’s balcony to drink an alcoholic beverage in front of English fans.

Earlier in the match, Brook emerged as one of England’s five half-centurions in the first innings to fuel their 371-run total. The cricketer raced to his 50* from 55 deliveries, before he was dismissed by Alzarri Joseph.

West Indies, chasing 250 runs to avoid an innings defeat, lost opening batter and captain Kraigg Brathwaite to a peach from outbound legend James Anderson. The seasoned speedster also claimed the wickets of Alick Athanaze and Joshua Da Silva to collect figures of 3-32 in his farewell Test match.

Anderson’s spell, coupled with Gus Atkinson’s five-fer skittled out West Indies for just 136 as England secured a win by an innings and 114 runs.

Team England will now herald their post-James Anderson era by taking on the visitors in the second Test of their three-match series. The much-awaited contest will be staged between July 18 and July 22 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
