During the Asia Cup, this dynamic right-handed batter delivered a scintillating performance, smashing an entertaining 109* runs off just 71 balls against Nepal. He further demonstrated his prowess with scores of 23 and 47 against India and Sri Lanka, respectively, while also taking three wickets against Sri Lanka. Currently, the Babar Azam-led Pakistan is stationed in Hyderabad, India, gearing up for the ICC World Cup 2023, scheduled to commence from October 5 and run until November 19.

The Men in Green lost to New Zealand in their firdt warm-up game in Hyderabad, where Iftikhar got to play only a handful of balls in the first innings.
