While Babar enjoys his time off the field, his position in Pakistan’s T20 squad remains uncertain. Reports suggest he is unlikely to be included in the squad for the upcoming New Zealand tour. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering giving senior players a break and bringing in young talent for the T20I series. However, a final decision on his inclusion in the ODI squad is yet to be made.

The 30-year-old batter faced heavy criticism for his slow innings against New Zealand and his poor performance against India in the Champions Trophy. His struggles on the field have raised questions about his future role in the team.

Pakistan’s Upcoming Tour of New Zealand

The PCB is focusing on younger players for the T20I series against New Zealand. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has already met with top-performing domestic players. Pakistan’s squad is set to leave for New Zealand on March 12, with the T20I series starting on March 16, followed by a three-match ODI series beginning on March 29.
