Former India cricketer, Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti Ahlawat are heading towards divorce as per reports which broke yesterday. The couple are set to end their 20-year marriage and have reportedly been living separately for the last few months. Reports make shocking claims that the duo are not in talking terms and rumours could turn out to be true.

The rumours first started floating when the couple limited their public and social media appearance, and Sehwag, who posts about his family on social media, shared photos with his elder son and his mother on Diwali celebrations, last year, but shared no photos with his wife and younger son.

Interestingly, Sehwag also unfollowed Aarti on social media platform, Instagram, and his wife also made her account private amidst divorce rumours. Sehwag, last shared a photo with his wife in April 2023, and didn't share a post on their 20th wedding anniversary, last year.

The love story of Virender Sehwag and Aarti Ahlawat began in the 1980s, when the duo met through family connections. At that time, Sehwag and Aarti were seven and five years old respectively, and became good friends.

The feelings grew as they aged and at 21, Sehwag proposed to Aarti and she accepted it wholeheartedly.

On April 22, 2024, the couple tied the knot and the grand wedding took place at the residence of former Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley.

Sehwag's game blossomed post marriage and he also became a World Champion in 2007 and 2011. He retired in 2015 and since then has taken variety of roles as commentator and pundits.
