Rohit Sharma is one of the finest batters of this generation, especially in white-ball cricket. However, his performances at the Test level have been on and off, and he has struggled big time in the last three Test series. He made his much-awaited comeback in Ranji Trophy on Thursday, 23rd of January, but could manage just three runs.

He has come out with the positive attitude in the second innings though and has looked confident as an opener for the first time in long time in red-ball cricket. The man started off with a trademark pull shot to clear any doubts about his intention and then smashed a boundary as well.

Rohit Sharma Shows Aggression On Ranji Return

However, the sign that the confidence is back was shown with a classy hit where he danced down the track in his typical manner, making a quality bowler a complete bully. It was the final ball of the fifth over and Rohit Sharma decided to take on Auqib Nabi with a beautiful shot over long off as he showed full face of his blade after dancing down the track.

Along with Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal is also looking in fine touch and the two Indian openers look determined to stamp their authority in this Ranji game. In the first Innings, Mumbai could muster only just 120 runs while Jammu and Kashmir managed to get a lead with 206 in their first outing.

The star-studded Mumbai unit have a tough task on their hands now, and it would be interesting to see how they go about their business after a strong start in the second outing.
