Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of India’s most loved celebrity couples. Kohli is a cricket superstar, while Anushka has made her name as one of Bollywood’s top actresses. Together, they’ve been admired not just for their professional success but also for the way they handle their relationship, always supportive of each other, yet very private about their personal lives.

Their love story began in 2013, when they first met during the shoot of a shampoo advertisement. They clicked instantly and stayed in touch. For the special occasion, Kohli chose to wear an outfit designed by India’s most famous designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Known for creating stunning bridal and groom wear, Sabyasachi worked on both Anushka’s lehenga and Virat’s sherwani. Kohli’s look stood out because of its royal simplicity. 

He wore an ivory-coloured sherwani, paired with a lightly embroidered stole and a chanderi safa (turban) that beautifully matched Anushka’s bridal outfit. The couple looked perfectly coordinated, giving major wedding fashion goals to many. Now, the question is

How much did Virat’s sherwani cost? 

According to reports, the price of his wedding attire was around INR 40 lakh. Yes, you read that right. Nearly half a crore just for the groom’s outfit. However, it’s important to note that neither Virat nor Sabyasachi has officially confirmed this number, so the exact cost remains a mystery.

Since their marriage, the couple has continued to keep their private life away from the limelight. They welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021, and in February 2024, their son, Akaay, was born. It is believed that the family has moved to London after his birth. Both Virat and Anushka are very protective of their kids and follow a strict “no-photos” policy for them.
