India's star batter Virat Kohli was spotted visiting the Chinmaya Tapovan Ashram in Dharamsala ahead of India's upcoming match in the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 in Lucknow, scheduled for Sunday, October 29.

Before diving into the World Cup contest against England, Team India has opted to spend a few days enjoying a holiday in the picturesque state of Himachal Pradesh.

Instead of sticking to the traditional post-game travel routine, the Men in Blue have decided to stay put in Dharamsala for two days following the match.

On several occasions in the past, it has been observed that Kohli has a penchant for visiting places of worship, and during his current stay in the sacred city of Dharamshala, this tradition continues.

Kohli's visit to the ashram quickly became a social media sensation, with his fans sharing the images and making them go viral online.

A day before, Kohli was seen relaxing in the hotel pool.

The talismanic cricketer is making the most of his break after helping India secure a convincing four-wicket victory over New Zealand in Dharamsala. The win extended their winning streak in the ongoing World Cup.

Although it's uncertain whether Kohli will continue to stay in Dharamsala, reports by InsideSport suggest that former India captain Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul have left the camp to spend time with their families.

Since the Asia Cup, many of these players haven't had a break, so the BCCI decided to grant senior players some rest before the start of the second half of the World Cup.

India has displayed dominant form throughout the World Cup, with victories in all five of their matches. The bowlers, in particular, have consistently delivered, and the batters, from the openers to the middle-order, have been in excellent form.

Kohli, in particular, has been in sensational form during the 2023 World Cup. He currently holds the record for the highest run-scorer in the World Cup, accumulating 354 runs in five games. Moreover, he achieved a century against Bangladesh, highlighting his exceptional performances.

The Rohit Sharma-led team is set to face England in Lucknow on October 29, with a one-week break before resuming their World Cup campaign against the defending champions.
