The second edition of the Uttar Pradesh Premier League (UPPL) is set to commence with a grand opening ceremony at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
According to the reports of Hindustan Times, the event, dubbed 'Maha Sangram ka Maha Jashn,' promises to be a star-studded affair with performances by singer-composer Badshah and Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon.
UP Premier League To Feature Special Bollywood Performances
Ayushmann Khurrana announced the event via an Instagram post and shared his excitement for the opening ceremony. Additionally, actress Jhanvi Kapoor will also grace the event.

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the tournament. The league will be inaugurated by Rajiv Shukla, Vice President of the BCCI and Director of the UPCA.
With a mix of cricketing action and Bollywood glamour, the UPPL aims to captivate fans and establish itself as a major event in the Indian cricket calendar.
UP Premier League- All You Need To Know
The UPPL will feature six teams competing from August 25 to September 14, 2024, with all matches being hosted at the Ekana Stadium. The league stage comprises 31 matches, with the playoffs scheduled for September 11 and 12. The first game will see Kashi Rudras facing off against Meerut Mavericks.
Teams are Gorakhpur Lions, Kanpur Superstars, Kashi Rudras, Noida Super Kings Bhuvneshwar-led Lucknow Falcons, and Meerut Mavericks.
