Former Indian captain, MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi made her debut as a film producer with "Let's Get Married", that released on July 28.

Sakshi Dhoni reflects on her relationship with MS Dhoni

As Sakshi geared up for the release, she took the opportunity to share insights into her 13-year-long marriage with the cricketing icon. Her candid revelations provided a glimpse into the private life of one of the most celebrated couples in the cricket world.

Explaining the nature of their marriage in an interaction with the media, Sakshi described a shift from the initial chase and romantic pursuit to a more relaxed and comfortable bond. She expressed that after marriage, a man often feels a sense of ownership, recognizing that his partner is there to stay.

Sakshi also admitted that the romance between them has somewhat faded but she sees it as a positive development in their relationship.

“Men, they chase you first, and then after marriage, they are, ‘OK! She is mine only, where is she gonna go‘. Men come in that comfort zone. We are just bantering with each other the whole day, there is hardly any romance which is a good thing in a way for both of us,” said Sakshi.

Beyond their romantic life, Sakshi also shed light on the disciplined nature of her husband. She traced this discipline back to her father-in-law's influence.

"Actually, my father-in-law is strict, and that's why Dhoni is disciplined. Our family is very disciplined," added the legendary cricketer’s better half.

Furthermore, she emphasized the family's respect for individuality and freedom.

“They have never said no to us for anything. I think space is one of the most important things,” concluded Sakshi, pointing out the balance of discipline and autonomy that prevails in their household.
