A video of a man from Tamil Nadu has been doing the rounds on the internet where he claims to have been barred from entering Virat Kohli’s One8 Commune restaurant situated in Juhu, Mumbai. The man further reveals that his entry was denied due to his traditional outfit - Veshti - which was deemed inappropriate by the restaurant authorities.

Watch the viral video here:

The man could be seen wearing a Veshti, a traditional Tamil attire that is prevalent across several South Indian states. The video instantly went viral and attracted strong reactions from numerous users on social media who called out the restaurant authorities for such unjust behaviour.

However, the identity of the man could not be fully ascertained. But his viral video has clocked over a million views now with many coming to his defence while some indicating that this incident has got nothing to do with Virat Kohli.

According to the man, his outfit was not per the hotel's dress code which prevented him from entering the restaurant. Furthermore, in the video, he could be heard saying that he touched down in Mumbai and right after checking in to his hotel (JW Marriot), he made his way to One8 Commune’s Juhu branch.

Nevertheless, Virat Kohli’s stellar run in the recently concluded World Cup edition had set the stage ablaze. As India prepares to face South Africa for a historic multi-format series this month, all eyes will be fixated on the 35-year-old who will be seen in action in the red-ball format.
