After helping India lift the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, star cricketer Shafali Verma gave herself a luxury celebration. She bought a stunning MG Cyberster electric sports car worth nearly ₹75 lakh.

Fresh from India’s historic World Cup win, Shafali decided to mark the moment in style by adding a luxury electric sports car to her garage.

MG India shared pictures and videos of the special delivery, and they quickly went viral on social media.

The delivery ceremony was nothing short of dramatic. The car was placed on a red carpet at a cricket ground and hidden inside a large collapsible box.

Shafali Verma, dressed in an outfit that perfectly matched the colour of the car, cut the ribbon as the box folded down to reveal the shining MG Cyberster.

She even celebrated by firing flares and then stepped inside the car to explore its high-tech cabin.

The MG Cyberster is not an ordinary vehicle. It comes with a 77 kWh battery and a powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque.

In simple words, this car is incredibly fast. With Launch Control Mode, it can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds.

It also offers an impressive driving range of 580 km on a single charge. One of the most exciting features of the car is its electronic scissor doors, which open upwards like a futuristic sports car.

The vehicle also has bold rear lights, sharp LED headlights, and enormous 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the car looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. It features dual 7-inch screens and a 10.25-inch digital display. Shafali’s model comes with a striking red soft-top convertible roof.

Shafali Verma went from zero to hero overnight

After being initially dropped from the World Cup squad, Shafali Verma came in as an injury replacement for Pratika Rawal ahead of the semi-final.

She scored 87 runs in the final against South Africa and also picked 2 crucial wickets in seven overs. Verma won the Player of the Match award on the eve of the final and became a national hero overnight.
