Jasprit Bumrah delivers stellar performance (Source:@ AP)
Jasprit Bumrah delivered an unbelievably stellar five-wicket haul on Day 3 of the ongoing 1st Test between India and England at Headingley. His figures of 5/83 were a masterclass in seam, swing, and sustained pressure. Bumrah’s effort played a pivotal role in restricting England to 465 in response to India’s first-innings total of 471.
Despite the narrow six-run lead, Bumrah's brilliance ensured that England did not run away with a commanding first-innings advantage. His spell was marked by clinical execution, as he was let down by his fielders on multiple occasions. Three catches were dropped off his bowling, and one wicket was denied after he overstepped the crease, yet he continued to deliver.
This five-wicket haul is Bumrah’s 14th in Test cricket, and he has become the leading wicket-taker among Asian pacers in SENA countries.
On Day 3, along with Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna bounced back to claim three wickets, while Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two crucial scalps. However, it was still Bumrah who remained the standout performer, having single-handedly carried the bowling attack for India.

First Asian Bowler To Reach 150 Wickets In SENA Countries
It is important to mention that with his stellar performance Jasprit Bumrah broke several records. He became the first Asian bowler to cross the mark of 150 wickets in Tests in SENA Countries. Another major record that the ace pacer achieved was that he joined the legend Kapil Dev with the most five-wicket hauls in away Tests. While Kapil took 108 innings to record 12 five-wicket hauls, Bumrah did it in just 64.
