Ritika Sajdeh's 'Melting' Reply On Fan Video Lauding 'Selfless Captain' Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma's captaincy stint for India has been highly successful, however, the lack of International Cricket Council (ICC) titles has somewhat taken the shine away from his illustrious run.

Sharma, who is leading India in the ongoing Test series against England, found praise from all quarters after winning the Rajkot tie, which was highlighted by a fan video on Instagram, which witnessed Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh also comment with a smiley.

The video praised Sharma as a 'Selfless Captain' and asked fans how will they remember the Indian skipper's tenure.

"Is selfless captain ko yaad rakhoge na (You will remember this selfless captain right)?" 

Sharma who has been given the green signal as India's T20I captain for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, is facing issues in the Indian Premier League, where the five-time title-winning captain was removed as Mumbai Indians skipper for the upcoming edition, which witnessed a backlash from fans as well after head coach Mark Boucher termed Sharma's removal as purely 'cricketing one'. 

Sajdeh did not take lightly the remarks made by Bouncher and commented, "So many things wrong with this...". Since then the clip has been deleted from the Smash Sports podcast channel on Instagram.

Rohit has quite amicably led India with complete focus in the ongoing five-Test series against England, and has shown no discomfort about off-the-field controversies. He will take the field when India clash swords with England in the fourth Test tomorrow in Ranchi.
