Enthusiastic cricket fans from all over the world have praised Ravichandran Ashwin for his illustrious accomplishments over the years. The 36-year-old recently made social media news for pulling off a remarkable feat during his previous tour of the West Indies.
Ashwin's one of the unique feats that he achieved in the West Indies was highlighted by the popular Indian quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)' hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. There, he got the wicket of Tagenarine Chanderpaul, son of legendary West Indies batter Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
In his Test debut in 2011, the ace off-spinner also dismissed Shivnarine, becoming the first Indian and fifth overall in world cricket to have wickets of both father and son.
The question that Bachchan asked the contestant was worth a staggering INR 25 lakh. The query was, ‘Who is the first Indian cricketer to dismiss both a father and a son in Test cricket?’ Ashwin, of course, was an option, alongside Ishant Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami.
