In a very rare occurrence, an entrepreneur gave his employees half a day off after India's emphatic win over Pakistan. The Noida-based co-founder of CollegeVidya.com had announced that he wanted his employees to celebrate India's victory and come office late the next day.
Half-Day Off For Employees On Monday
The blockbuster India-Pakistan game, which recently concluded in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025, saw India better Pakistan by six wickets, courtesy of Virat Kohli's high-profile century at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India aced the chase, finishing the game in 42.3 overs, where Kohli played a defining knock against their arch-rivals to take India home.
Celebrating the cause, Rohit Gupta, co-founder and CEO of CollegeVidya.com, announced on LinkedIn that he gave his employees half a day off on Monday to enjoy Sunday night with full enthusiasm and come in after the next half on Monday.

The employees were pleased with the decision and thanked the CEO for his efforts in ensuring they felt appreciated.

India And New Zealand Already Through To Semi-Finals
The India-Pakistan game is always a blockbuster, a reason for millions to enjoy one of the most watched events in sporting history.
As for the Champions Trophy, the Indian team have already qualified for the semi-finals alongside New Zealand, while both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been eliminated following their consecutive losses in the tournament. The Men in Blue will play their next game against the Black Caps on March 2nd in Dubai.
