The crucial Group B encounter of Champions Trophy 2025 between Australia and South Africa is currently in the middle of a major rain threat. The match is scheduled to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, but the start of the game has been delayed due to rain and it is pouring down quite heavily.

The chances of precipitation is over 50 percent throughout the course of the game, and now the cut-off time for the 20-over game has also been revealed. According to IST, 8:02 PM is the cut-off time for a 20-over per-side game while the local time is 7:32 PM. The match was scheduled to start at 2:30 PM IST and the overs started to get deducted from 3:30 PM IST.

Group B Qualification Gets Dicey With Rain Looming Large

Australia started off the tournament with a win against England, chasing down a record total. South Africa, on the other hand, destroyed Afghanistan with a clinical performance in their opening game and a win for either side will put them on the brink of semifinal qualification. However, if the match gets washed out, things can get tricky with things opening up for England and Afghanistan as well.

In the Group A, India and New Zealand have already qualified and all eyes now are on how things pan out in Group B. However, there is possibility of rain in the next Group B games too, so, things are likely to get quite intense in the next few days.
