Virat Kohli, the former India captain, is known for his aggressive nature on the field; however, off the field, he is just like any other person and loves to enjoy his life. Kohli's batting talent is known worldwide, but the champion cricketer also has a hidden side to him, which was recently exposed by MS Dhoni.
The former India skipper, MS Dhoni, shared a light-hearted insight about Kohli's personal life in an event which was recently held in Chennai. The CSK great revealed that Kohli loves to dance, sing, and entertain people, something which is the opposite of what he is on the field.
In a conversation with Bhavana Balakrishnan, Dhoni revealed Virat Kohli's nature off the field and talked about an unknown side of him.
"He also sings well. He is a good singer. He is a good dancer. He is good in mimicry. If he is in the mood, he is very, very entertaining,” MSD said.
The bond between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli
Kohli and MS Dhoni's bond dates back to 2008, when the 36-year-old made his international debut under the guidance of MSD. What started as a senior-junior relationship turned into a special brotherly bond, and for the next 11 years, the duo shared great chemistry on the field, and forged vital partnerships that helped India win countless games.
At one stage, the Indian selectors were set to drop Kohli from the Test side, but it was MS Dhoni who saved his career, and the Delhi cricketer went on to become India's greatest Test captain.
Eventually, when MS Dhoni retired from Tests, Kohli became his successor, and when he stepped down from the role of white-ball leadership, Kohli, once again became the front-runner, and replaced MSD as the leader of the side. The duo will next be seen together in IPL 2026, as Kohli will play for RCB, while MS Dhoni will continue to don the Yellow CSK jersey.
