MS Dhoni Open to Acting in Films? Wife Sakshi Dhoni Answers the Call

In a surprising revelation, Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of legendary cricketer MS Dhoni, has disclosed that her husband is open to taking on onscreen roles if presented with a compelling script.

Sakshi herself has delved into film production with the upcoming Tamil movie, "LGM - Let’s Get Married," produced under the banner of Dhoni Entertainment. The film, directed by debutant Ramesh Thamilmani, features Nadhiya, Harish Kalyan, Ivana, RJ Vijay, and Yogi Babu in significant roles. Scheduled to hit theatres on July 28, it marks MS Dhoni's first movie production under Dhoni Entertainment.

The movie's storyline revolves around a young couple in love, with the girl (Ivana) having reservations about living with her mother-in-law (Nadhiya) under the same roof. To foster understanding, she proposes a trip with their parents before the wedding, leading to amusing situations.

During a recent promotional event for "LGM" in Chennai, Sakshi expressed that MS Dhoni might venture into acting in the future if offered compelling scripts. She confidently stated that Dhoni is not camera-shy, having appeared in advertisements since 2006, and would consider the opportunity if a good script comes his way.

"If there’s something good, he might do it. He is not camera-shy. He has been acting in advertisements since 2006, and he is not afraid of facing the camera. So, might do it if there’s something good,"  said Sakshi Dhoni in response to a question during a press interaction.

When asked about the genre that would interest the wicketkeeper-batter, Sakshi promptly replied, "Action. He is always in action."

Additionally, director Ramesh Thamilmani expressed his desire to witness Dhoni on the silver screen, acknowledging him as a real-life superhero.

“He (Dhoni) is a real-life superhero, and I would like to see him in a superhero film,”  LGM movie director Ramesh Thamilmani said.

With Sakshi's film production journey underway and the possibility of Dhoni stepping into the world of acting, fans eagerly await the unfolding of new chapters in the cricketer's life beyond the cricket pitch.
