The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice president, Rajeev Shukla recently revealed his interesting conversation with MS Dhoni and his future in politics. One of the most revered cricketers ever, MS Dhoni has a received a lot of admiration and love from his fans all over the world.
The legendary captain, has had a career full of achievements from the 2007 World T20, 2011 ODI World Cup to the 2013 Champions Trophy, he is the only skipper to win three different limited overs ICC tournaments. His success and popularity have often made fans wonder why MS Dhoni, at 43, hasn't entered politics, despite rumours over the years.
While appearing on BeerBiceps' YouTube channel, Rajeev Shukla said:
“I feel Dhoni can become a politician. It is up to him, if he will become a politician or not. Sourav, I always felt he would enter Bengal politics. Dhoni can also be good in politics. He will win easily, he is popular."
“I don't know if he will enter politics, it is purely in his hands,” he added.
MS Dhoni In Politics?
Captain Cool's absence in politics could be linked to his hectic IPL career, where he remains a backbone for Chennai Super Kings, even if not the official captain. Known for his preference for privacy, Dhoni doesn't carry a personal mobile, and teammates must contact him via his agent.
BCCI 's Rajeev Shukla recently mentioned that MS Dhoni could make a great politician, thanks to his leadership qualities, but Dhoni's inclination to stay out of the limelight seems to have kept him away from politics.
