Kuldeep Yadav posted photos from the meetup on X (formerly Twitter), captioning them:
“Sharing football knowledge with the man who’s redefining the game.”
In a cheeky reply, Kevin Pietersen, who is known for his straightforward humor, commented:
“Very very very poor football team.”
Pietersen was referring to Manchester United's recent Premier League struggles, where they ended the season at 15th place, just a few spots above relegation.
Kuldeep, not one to stay quiet, fired back with equal wit: “Very, very good human being, just like you 😍.”
This friendly banter between the two, who once worked together at Delhi Capitals in the IPL, quickly went viral.
The entire event was organized by a major sportswear brand and celebrated the bond between two of the world’s biggest sports, cricket and football. It gave players from both sides a chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy a bit of each other’s games.
Team India is set to play the fourth Test match against England at Old Trafford starting July 23. England currently leads the five-match series 2-1, having won in Leeds and London. India’s only win so far came in Birmingham.
