RR Welcomes Sunita Williams Back On Earth
Sunita Williams and other three astronauts were stuck in space for 286 long days as NASA made tiring efforts to bring them back to Earth.
The effort delivered results on March 19 as a spacecraft carrying the astronauts made a splashdown in Florida.
As the world celebrated Sunita Williams’ return from Space, IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals also joined the bandwagon.
In a social media post, RR shared a picture of Williams returning from space and stated that she just returned in time for the IPL 2025 season.
The IPL 2025 season will begin on March 22 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Hence, RR used the timeline confidence to add a touch of humour.
RR Captain Sanju Samson In New Role For IPL 2025?
Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson is facing a major role change in IPL 2025, as reports suggest he might not don the gloves due to his finger injury.
Samson, who injured his right index finger, is currently at the BCCI Center of Excellence for rehabilitation. While he has cleared the fitness test for batting, his wicket keeping fitness test is still pending.
If Samson is unable to keep wickets, Dhruv Jurel, who was retained for INR 4 crore, is the frontrunner to replace him behind the stumps. Reports also suggest that Jurel might keep wickets in the first half of the season, with Samson potentially taking over later.
