A set of viral photos stating that Nita Ambani gave Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma luxury Bugatti cars as gifts for India's Champions Trophy 2025 win have gone viral on social media. But what’s the truth behind it? Let’s find out.

India scripted history by winning the 2025 Champions Trophy in Dubai, ending a 12-year drought. In the final, the men in blue beat Zealand by four wickets to lift the prized trophy.

However, certain rumours are swirling around the market that Indian cricketers received luxurious prizes from Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s wife, Nita Ambani following their Champions Trophy triumph.

Fact Check On Nita Ambani Gifting Cars To Indian Cricketers

In viral posts, widely shared on Facebook and other social media platforms, it is shown that Nita Ambani handed over car keys to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, supposedly in celebration of India’s triumph over New Zealand on March 9, 2025, in Dubai.

But on a closer look, several inconsistencies were found. In the photos with Rohit Sharma, mistakes like distorted hands, misspelling of "India" on his jersey, and an incorrect BCCI logo were found.

The same inconsistency was also seen in the photos with Virat Kohli, like a deformed hand and an improper BCCI logo. This obviously indicates that the photos are AI-created.

Furthermore, no credible news reports or official sources supported the claim that Nita Ambani had gifted luxury cars to the cricketers.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma To Feature In IPL 2025

Meanwhile, after the Champions Trophy victory, Indian cricketers will be seen back in action with the IPL 2025 season. Rohit Sharma has joined the Mumbai Indians camp and will play as a specialist opener as Hardik Pandya took over as the franchise captain last year. Moreover, Virat Kohli will also be seen as a specialist batter since RCB appointed Rajat Patidar as captain for the upcoming season.
