India’s arch nemesis and Australian explosive batter Travis Head celebrated Christmas Eve with wife and kids ahead of the Boxing Day Test match scheduled for December 26. Head, his wife, and his daughter posed with a decorated X-mas tree lined with gifts.

Travis Head is one of the most fine-hitting batsmen in the Australian cricket team. He is all set to play an important Test match on Boxing Day against India. During the third Test at Gabba, he had picked up a groin injury and was widely speculated to be unavailable for selection in the fourth Test.

However, the Australian team management has confirmed that Head is fit and he will join the team for the Boxing Day Test on December 26. With two centuries already in the series, the middle-order batter is expected to play a big role in the last leg of the series.

Travis Head rings in Christmas with family

Meanwhile, before the beginning of the fourth Test in MCG, Travis Head was spotted enjoying Christmas with his family in a festive atmosphere. He was snapped enjoying very cozy Christmas moments with his wife and children around them, complete with all kinds of decorations, treats and hearty laughter.

The family gathered around the Christmas tree, with smiles all around, capturing the joy and warmth of the occasion. Head, along with his partner and children, looked relaxed and content as they took part in the holiday traditions. Head and his wife recently blessed their second child.

Head’s record at MCG is a positive sign for India

India will take on Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the venue of the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. While Travis Head has been a dominant force for Australia throughout the series, with 409 runs at an average of 81.80 and a strike rate of 94.24, his performance at MCG has been far from spectacular.

Despite his blazing form in the ongoing series, Head has struggled at MCG in past Tests, amassing only 346 runs in 10 innings at an average of 34.60. His strike rate of 48.60 and just two fifty-plus scores across those innings suggest that India’s bowlers could have a slight advantage over the left-hander on this historic ground.
