For the past couple of days, there has been a constant chatter on the internet that India's star batter Virat Kohli has undergone fitness Tests in London. The reports went viral on the internet, and the BCCI faced a lot of flak for their bias and promoting star power as the rest of the Indian team had travelled to Bengaluru and checked in at the Centre of Excellence to give fitness Tests.
While there was no confirmation regarding rumours of Virat undergoing tests in London, Kohli's good friend and India football team legend Sunil Chhetri has all but confirmed that the former India captain did indeed give his fitness trial in London and passed the test with flying colours.
Sunil Chhetri Confirms Kohli Giving Tests In London
Chhetri, speaking at a podcast, revealed that Virat had texted him about giving fitness tests and sent the scores, which were impressive given the right-handed batter is 36 and only active in just one format.
"A few days back, Kohli was sending me his scores of one of the tests he was doing. It is so addictive, and it is so good to know these kinds of people. On your bad days when you feel a bit lethargic, you see them and think, ‘let’s go’. When you are at the top, everyone wants to be a Virat Kohli or Ronaldo, and for these two to keep their place is unbelievable," said Chhetri while speaking to Desi Premier League Podcast.
