Indian cricketers Harshit Rana and Rishabh Pant had a fun day out in England as they chilled before the second Test in Birmingham. The duo competed in an axe-throwing game where Pant nailed a bullseye, but Rana failed horribly in multiple attempts.

The Shubman Gill-led Indian Test team’s transition didn’t go as planned after they lost the first Test in Leeds by 5 wickets against England. Despite scoring 5 centuries, the visitors flatter with the ball, resulting in a shambolic loss.

The second Test is now scheduled at Edgbaston, Birmingham, from July 2 to July 6.

Harshit Rana-Rishabh Pant Face Off In Unique Game

Ahead of the second Test, Indian cricketers are enjoying their leisure time in England. Fast bowler Harshit Rana and vice-captain Rishabh Pant competed in an axe-throwing game. Axe throwing is similar to a dart game, but instead of darts, one has to throw an axe.

Pant took the first turn and nailed a bullseye in his second attempt. However, Rana failed miserably. He took 2 attempts but failed in both, and Pant had a good laugh. Irrespective of the results, the duo had a good time, and the wicket-keeper shared images and videos from their day out on Instagram.

Rishabh Pant unleashed a historic performance in the first Test against England. He scored 2 hundreds in as many innings and became only the second wicket-keeper in the history of the Test format to score twin hundreds in a single Test.

Harshit Rana Reportedly Released From Squad

In a major development ahead of the second Test against England at Edgbaston, young fast bowler Harshit Rana has been released from India’s Test squad and reportedly asked to fly back home by the BCCI.

According to a report by The Times of India’s Sahil Malhotra, the Shubman Gill-led Indian side left for Birmingham earlier this week, without Rana, who was notably absent from the team bus.

Rana was not part of the original squad but was added later as a backup after concerns about injuries in the pace attack. However, with no new injury concerns reported within the team, head coach Gautam Gambhir confirmed that Rana’s services were no longer required.
