Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has strongly criticized the Indian media after some paparazzi shot an inappropriate video of his girlfriend, Maheika Sharma, a young model. 

The incident happened when the two were spotted at a restaurant in Bandra. As Maheika was simply walking down the stairs, photographers captured her from an angle that Hardik felt was completely unacceptable and disrespectful.

Hardik took to Instagram to express his anger and disappointment. In his story, he wrote that he understands fame comes with attention, cameras, and scrutiny, and he has accepted that as part of his life. However, what happened that day, he said, “crossed a line.” He wrote “

"l understand that living in the public eye comes with attention and scrutiny, it's part of the life I've chosen. But today something happened that crossed a line.


Mahieka was simply walking down a staircase at a Bandra restaurant when paparazzi decided to capture her from an angle that no woman deserves to be photographed from. A private moment was turned into cheap sensationalism.


This isn't about headlines or who clicked what, it's about basic respect. Women deserve dignity. Everyone deserves boundaries.


To the media brothers who work hard every day: Ir espect your hustle, and I always cooperate. But I'm requesting you all, please be a little more mindful. Not everything needs to be captured. Not every angle needs to be taken. Let's keep some humanity in this game. Thank you."

Hardik and Maheika made their relationship public only a few months ago. Many of his fans believe that his protective post shows how serious he is about her and that they may be taking a bigger step together soon.

For those unaware, Hardik was earlier married to actor and dancer Nataša Stanković. They got married in 2020 and have a son, Agastya. In July 2024, the couple announced their mutual separation but continue to co-parent their child. 

Hardik later found love again with Maheika, and they made their first official public appearance in October this year. Although they didn’t openly confirm dating at first, their social-media posts made it clear. There were even rumours recently that they got engaged privately, but Maheika later denied it.
