Out of favor India batter Shikhar Dhawan, on the occasion of Valentine's Day, shared a hilarious reel on the social media platform Instagram that has a quirky take on the husband's celebrating the must-celebrated day of love. 

Dhawan, who is known for his funny and interesting reels, lip-synced over a famous joke, which advised husbands not to cheat outside their marriage, or else Valentine's Day will be turned into Belan-tine's Day (belan- bread roller) by their respective better halves.

Dhawan, who is a veteran of 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is for India, last featured for the nation back in 2022, and has since been overlooked by selectors in favour of younger talents, who have staked a claim in the limited-overs teams. 

Dhawan, 38, is currently gearing up for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League 2024, where the opener will lead the Punjab Kings franchise, which consists of players like Jonny Bairstow, Rilee Roussouw, Sam Curran, Sikandar Raza, Chris Woakes, and Arshdeep Singh, to name a few. 

The left-hander player is a household name in IPL, having slammed 5,784 runs in the history of the tournament, which include two centuries and four fifties, making him the second-highest run-getter behind Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Virat Kohli. 

The upcoming IPL edition could also be the final time fans witness Dhawan in the tournament with age catching up to the famed-player.
