Pakistan cricket sensation Babar Azam celebrated his 30th birthday on October 15, 2025, and his path from a young boy carrying water bottles to becoming one of the world's richest and admired cricketers is one of inspiration.

Today, Babar commands an estimated net worth of $5 million (₹41 crore), built through cricketing excellence, smart endorsements, and a magnificent career as Pakistan's batting pillar.

Born in Lahore in 1994, Babar's cricketing career started early. He was motivated by his cousins Kamran and Umar Akmal and started out as a ball boy before climbing his way up through Pakistan's domestic setup.

His hard work paid off when he made his international debut in 2015, and since then, he’s been unstoppable.

Babar Azam earns lucrative PCB and PSL contracts

At the heart of Babar’s wealth is his success on the field. As part of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) ‘B’ Grade contract, he earns a monthly salary of PKR 3 million.

His match fees add to that, around PKR 1.25 million per Test, PKR 644,620 per ODI, and PKR 418,584 per T20I.

In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Babar Azam has seen a salary jump from $25,000 in the early years to a whopping $130,000 after moving into the Platinum category.

Endorsements and luxury lifestyle

Off the field, Babar's fame draws top international brands. He has endorsement deals with Oppo, Huawei, Head & Shoulders, and HBL, making him one of Pakistan’s top-earning athletes.

His love for cars is well known, too, as his collection includes a Lamborghini Aventador, an Audi A5, an Audi e-Tron GT, and an MG HS Essence.

Philanthropy and legacy

Despite his fame and fortune, Babar Azam hasn’t forgotten his roots. He donated PKR 2 million towards educating 250 underprivileged children recently, showing that he values giving back to society.

From serving as a ball boy at Gaddafi Stadium to raising Pakistan's hopes as captain and world-class batsman, Babar's tale is a potent reminder of what determination can do.

As he celebrates his 30th birthday, Babar Azam stands not just as a cricketing hero but as a symbol of modern success, inspiring millions of fans across the globe.
