Wasim Akram, the legendary Pakistani fast bowler, recently found himself on the receiving end of some playful banter from his wife, Shaniera Akram, as they celebrated their wedding anniversary with cute social media messages.

Wasim Akram was touted as one of the most feared and impactful pacers in his prime. He took 502 wickets across 356 ODIs and 414 dismissals in 104 Tests played for Pakistan. 

However, his personal life was toilsome as he lost his first wife, Huma, in 2009 due to illness. But Wasim found love again in Australian native Shaniera. The duo got hitched in 2013 and recently celebrated their 11th year anniversary 19th August.

Meanwhile, Shaniera's social media post was hilarious as she posted an embarrassing picture of Wasim Akram in an old-man get up. She thanked her husband for being the same person she fell in love with 11 years ago. 

Later, Shaniera shared another picture of Wasim to express her profound love and admiration for her husband.

On the other hand, Wasim Akram also took to X platform to call Shaniera the biggest blessing of his life. He hailed his wife for her affectionate personality and positive energy that instantly hit the right chord for people around her.

That being said, Wasim Akram, who retired from international cricket way back in 2003, refuses to return to Pakistan cricketing set up as a coach or mentor. 

He was found criticising the PCB's instability and incompetence on various platforms multiple times. Owing to this uncertainty, Akram restricted himself to commentary roles and other projects outside the country.
