Choreographer and social media influencer Dhanashree Verma has been in limelight with the release of her new music video, Dekha Ji Dekha Maine, on March 20. She released the song that collided with her divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal. The song, which delves into themes of disloyalty and domestic violence, has stirred significant curiosity, especially with its striking timing.

Although Dhanashree has remained tight-lipped about the inspiration behind the song, fans were quick to connect its narrative with her personal life. In the video, Dhanashree, alongside actor Ishwak Singh, portrays a woman who suffers emotional and physical abuse at the hands of her husband.

Dhanashree Song Release Sparks Speculation Over Personal Life

The storyline includes a scene where the husband slaps his wife in front of a friend and another in which he is shown getting intimate with another woman. The track, which is sung by Jyoti Nooran and composed by Jaani, is set in Rajasthan and adds to the emotional depth of the song.

Dhanashree took to Instagram to repost messages of praise from her followers, seemingly hinting at the art imitating life. Her cryptic Instagram story, which read, 'life imitating art,' only fueled the speculations surrounding her personal life.

This release comes on the heels of Dhanashree’s divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal, which was finalised on March 20 by the Bombay High Court. After months of rumours about their relationship, the couple had sought a divorce by mutual consent. Yuzvendra reportedly paid ₹4.35 crore in alimony, and the divorce proceedings were fast-tracked, with the court deciding to bypass the mandatory six-month cooling-off period due to the cricketer’s IPL commitments.

Dhanashree and Yuzvendra, who had married in December 2020, had reportedly been separated since June 2022, and filed for divorce in February 2025.
