On Thursday, November 18, several content creators took to their YouTube channels to reveal the first gameplay footage of the upcoming video game 'Cricket 26'. Notably, the forthcoming edition of the new cricket game is all set to hit the market on November 20, a day before Ashes 2025-26.
In the past couple of weeks, the gaming giants 'Big Ant Studios have released screenshots and a trailer, but for the first time, the fans got the opportunity to get their hands on the new game.
Mixed reviews for the game
Notably, the internet was divided after a YouTuber 'gjweavr' made his gameplay video public. A minor section was unhappy with the upgrade of the past version, but the majority were impressed and in awe of the new features that they had been demanding for a long time.
What has been revealed so far
So far, Bigant have promised a lot of features such as the ones mentioned below.
1. Revamped career mode
The new career mode, which now possibly features an open-world, contrary to earlier versions, which had no dressing room cuts.
2. CSK licensed
The trailer also featured the Chennai Super Kings and their updated jerseys.
3. New bowling actions and celebrations
As promised, the trailer also featured updated bowling actions, revamped fielding actions, and new celebrations.
4. Dynamic weather
Cricket will feature overcast and gloomy weather, and the feature has been confirmed by Ross Simons, the head of Big Ant Studios.
What's new based on the gameplay
Notably, Bigants have delivered on the made promises as the gameplay reveals huge changes to the game.
New Ashes mode
-The game now features new graphics, which include player morale, team confidence and has also brought in press conferences, where a player's response can lift or lower a team's morale.
Redifined graphics and interface
Further, players have been assigned new roles such as strike-rotator and counter-attacking. Also, the bowling style has been completely changed, and so are the fielding efforts.
National Anthem cut scenes and objectives
Also, national anthem cut scenes have been added and pre-match training. Besides that, the players are given a few objectives before a match, such as to pick a fifer with a certain bowler like Josh Hazlewood or Mitchell Starc or score a century with an individual, adding more spice to the game.
