It's been a few days, but the wound of the whitewash in the Test series against South Africa on home soil is still fresh. From a heartbreaking Eden Gardens loss to a crushing 408-run defeat in Guwahati, this series has turned into India’s toughest nightmare yet.

After India’s horrific performance, head coach Gautam Gambhir faced immense criticism from fans. Things got spicy at a JSCA Stadium practice when a fan’s savage taunt to Gambhir went viral, leaving the internet buzzing.

Fan roasts Gambhir after India’s Test nightmare

A few years back, defeating India on their home soil in a Test was a dream of the opposing sides, and within just a few times, the entire scenario changed. After a horrific whitewash at the hands of the Kiwis last year, the nightmare resurfaced as the South Africans defeated the Men in Blue by 2-0 margin. The shocking defeat has sparked a storm of criticism, leaving fans furious and searching for answers.

After Team India’s forgettable outing, head coach Gautam Gambhir faced immense criticism as the question has been raised over his future. As Team India reached Ranchi for the first ODI against South Africa, they practiced at the JSCA Stadium, and Gambhir faced a sharp taunt from a fan.

When Team India stepped onto the ground for practice, a fan spotted head coach Gambhir on the ground. From the stands, the furious supporter shouted he shouldn’t be coaching the team after their recent Test horror.

“3-0 ghar mein [vs New Zealand in 2024]. [South] Africa ke saamne 1-0 [2-0]. Coaching chhod do. South Africa ke saamne ghar mein nahi jeet sakte, 2027 ka World Cup bhool jao,” the fan yelled.

Team India plots a big ODI revenge after Test disaster

After a 2-0 defeat in the recently ended Test series, Team India is eyeing a stronger bounce-back in the 50-over format. Before stepping into the upcoming ODI series, the Men in Blue faced massive setbacks, and Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer were ruled out due to injury.

On the other hand, with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s arrival, the side will receive a massive boost. Under KL Rahul’s leadership, the Men in Blue will step onto the field, aiming to take revenge after the Test horror.
