Check Out Ravichandran Ashwin’s 'Hilarious Reply' to PM Narendra Modi’s Parody Account on X

Ravichandran Ashwin is known for his witty tweets on X, formerly Twitter. In a recent incident, the bowler engaged in a funny and light hearted banter with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parody account. 

Ahead of the Asia Cup opener in Pakistan, Ashwin recalled former India opener Virender Sehwag’s triple century in Multan, which is the venue for the game between Pakistan and Nepal. Sehwag amassed 309 runs off 375 balls as India declared at 675/5 in the eventually drawn Test match.

In his post, Ashwin also wished good luck to Nepal, who will be up against the current world number one ODI team.

“Asia Cup begins today at Multan where @virendersehwag made a triple hundred, but for today @CricketNep fans can u fill me in about the exciting talents coming from your part of the world? #PAKvsNEP," Ashwin wrote in his tweet.

Narendra Modi’s parody account replied: “Nepal for the win, full support to them."

To this, Ashwin said: “Yes sir, hope you get to watch the game amidst your busy schedule.”

The opening match of the Asia Cup 2023 is currently underway in Multan between Pakistan and Nepal. Pakistan's second assignment in the tournament will be against India on September 2 in Kandy.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have come together to jointly host the 2023 edition of the tournament. This edition of the Asia Cup is the first time when the tournament is being co-hosting by multiple countries. Four matches are to be hosted in Pakistan, while the remaining nine matches will be hosted in Sri Lanka. The tournament will end on September 16.
