In an unexpected turn of events, internet has now got ahold of Sanjay Jha, the chef responsible for cooking food for India's No.1 cricketer, Virat Kohli. The man made a hilarious yet descriptive presence online as he gave insights on Kohli's diet and how it differs from 25 years ago.

Virat Kohli, who is known for his fitness and good health turned vegan in 2018, and since then has stayed away from non-vegetarian food. As revealed by Sanjay, the star batter requested for chilli paneer at lunch on Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy clash between Delhi and Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. However earlier when Kohli enjoyed non-veg food, chilli chicken used to be his favourite dish.

Not just this, before the match started, a DDCA official reportedly told PTI that they had made arrangements for Chole Puri, another one of Kohli's favourite dishes, however, the 36-yer-old refused to eat it instead devoured Kadhi Chawal with his teammates and the backroom staff.

Kohli's Diet: What Did King Kohli Eat In Delhi?

In an interview, Sanjay Jha, gave deep insights into Kohli's humble and grounded attitude and revealed what he ate during his time here.

“I have been running a canteen for 25 years and I have known Virat Kohli from his childhood. He used to eat from our canteen. He started his career from here, but he doesn’t have any arrogance. Even today, he stays humble while talking to us and the waiters just how a normal person does,” Sanjay Jha told Sports Today in an interview.

“Earlier, chilli chicken used to be his favourite. Not only did he use to eat it, but he also recommended it to his teammates. Now he has chole bhature or kadhi chawal. Once I asked him if we should order something from outside, but he refused, saying that he wanted to have food from our canteen itself,”  Jha added.
