Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has rallied behind her team ahead of their blockbuster IPL 2025 final match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). A day before the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Bollywood actress took to X and shared a motivational post for players as well as for the fans of the franchise.

Punjab Kings qualified for the IPL 2025 final by outclassing Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier match in Ahmedabad a couple of days ago. The occasion marks Punjab Kings’ first appearance in an IPL final in 11 years, and only the second-ever in the league’s 18-year history.

Preity Zinta hails complete team effort for reaching final

Preity Zinta praised Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Ricky Ponting, and cited a complete team performance for reaching the finals of the IPL 2025 season. The Bollywood actress also specifically mentioned missing players like Lockie Ferguson, Marco Jansen and Glenn Maxwell for their contributions towards the team during the earlier stages of the league.

Taking to X, she wrote:

Punjab Kings, under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, topped the IPL 2025 points table with nine wins and four defeats from 14 matches.

While PBKS lost to RCB in the first qualifier, they bounced back against Mumbai Indians in the second to soar into their first IPL finals since 2014. The impending PBKS vs RCB match will be played at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, June 3.
