In a recent video that is now doing the rounds on the internet, India's wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel was seen having a chat with Australia's Travis Head, where the former was asking Head for a good coffee place near the hotel he was staying at.
Jurel, Head, along with Mitchell Starc and Nitish Kumar Reddy, were heading to the stands of Optus Stadium for a photoshoot where the quartet featured with a collage portrait of iconic India vs Australia rivalries. Ahead of the photoshoot, Jurel, a coffee lover, was seen asking Head for recommendations.
Jurel, Head chats ahead of pre-match photoshoot
The Indian team is currently in Australia for the white-ball series starting from October 19. Ahead of the first ODI, the pre-photoshoot video captured a lively banter between Australia's power-hitter and India's all-rounder.
As the video started, Head was seen guiding Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy about the 'Rockpool' restaurant, a popular food joint in Australia. Head was quite chatty while helping Nitish understand the directions. A few seconds later in the video, Dhruv Jurel asked Travis Head, "Is there any good coffee place nearby?" to which Travis Head replied negatively.
"I am not very fond of coffee," replied Head, to which Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was walking beside Jurel, nodded his head. Reddy chirped, "He doesn’t like coffee." Reddy’s response was quick and instinctive since he had already shared the dressing room with Head in the Sunrisers Hyderabad camp and was familiar with his habits.
As the trio smiled and chatted on their way to the photoshoot location, Mitchell Starc was already waiting there. Upon arrival, they clicked a couple of photos with the collage of the fiercest and most memorable moments between the two countries in ODI cricket.
With India under captain Shubman Gill, the Men in Blue are ready to write a new chapter against a historically dominant Australian side. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have also landed in Australia as they continue warming up and shifting gears in the nets.
