Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketer, is not only known for his game-play but also for his fitness routine which has brought a cultural change in Indian cricket. From a Chole Bhature lover to a gym freak and spending hours honing his skills, Kohli has come a long way in the last 17 years of international cricket.
He switched over to a discipline that requires determination, something which was tough for Kohli at the beginning, but he has mastered the art. Being Virat Kohli is no easy feat as the champion player trains his body like a track field athlete and here are 5 morning routine which he follows to become a better version of himself.
1) Hydration first
The first thing Kohli does in the morning is hydrate himself. He drinks plenty of fluids, and it gives him energy to stay at his best during his workouts.
2) Stretching before hitting the gym
After drinking plenty of fluids and a bit of Black Coffee, Kohli prepares for his gym work by doing stretching exercises. Stretching helps Kohli stay fit and it also helps him to avoid injuries and relaxes his muscles.
3) Intense workout
After relaxing his muscles, Kohli's day kicks-off with an intense workout session - sometimes alone, or sometimes with his wife, Anushka Sharma. He does High-Intensity Interval Trraining which keeps him in perfect shape for his next Cricket tour.
4) Focus on plant based diet
Once a lover of Butter Chicken and Chole Bhature, Virat Kohli completely changed his diet plan and shifted his focus towards a more Plant based diet including fruits, oats, nuts and nutrients. He also easts plant based chicken which is a healthier option for your body.
5) Deep breathing for stress relief
Apart from intense physical training, Kohli also works towards training his mind. He does deep breathing exercises and meditation to calm his mind as it helps him to reduce stress and focus his energy on tasks ahead.
