  • Zim Vs Ban Nurul Hasan Ruled Out Of The Tour Owing To Finger Injury

ZIM vs BAN | Nurul Hasan ruled out of the tour owing to finger injury

In an unfortunate turn of events, Bangladesh's keeper-batter Nurul Hasan has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe tour after sustaining a finger injury in the second T20I yesterday.

Nurul was hit on his index finger while keeping against young seamer Hasan Mahmud. The Khulna-born seemed to be in a lot of pain after this incident. However, he continued keeping for the sake of his team.

In the aftermath of the match, an X-ray was conducted to determine the severity of his injury. The reports suggested a fracture in his index finger, which as per the team's physio, will need at least three weeks to be healed. Therefore, he is set to miss the last T20I and the subsequent ODI series.

"We did an X-ray which revealed a fracture to the index finger. Such injuries take about three weeks to recover from. He is therefore out of Tuesday’s last T20 match and the upcoming ODI series,” team physio Muzadded Alpha Sany said in a video message.

Notably, Nurul was Bangladesh's stand-in captain on this tour. In his absence, the experienced keeper-batter Litton Das is expected to lead the visitors in the remaining games of the tour.

Nurul's injury can be termed as a big blow for the Tigers considering his supreme abilities with the bat. The stylish right-hander smashed a magnificent 26-ball 42* in the first match, saving his side from an embarrassing defeat.
