Jasprit Bumrah maybe resting the Test match against England in Ranchi but India's ace speedster is certainly still following the game. Bumrah, who would have his eyes set on Indian team's tussle versus the touring Englishman, was also glued towards the start of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 on Friday (February 23).

As captivating the clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the great bowler also had special reasons to tune into the WPL 2024 first game as his better half and experienced anchor Sanjana Ganeshan resumed broadcasting duties.

The WPL 2024 opener between last year's finalists and arch-rivals was the first time Ganeshan was back for her broadcast duties since giving berth to the couple's first child in September 2023, when Bumrah announced the arrival of his baby boy.

Bumrah Thrilled As Wife Sanjana Returns To Broadcasting

Bumrah and Ganeshan confirmed tieing knots with each other in March 2021 when the great Indian bowler was rested from playing duties for the fourth Test of the series.

The speedster is currently on one such short break after taking heavy workload in the first three Tests of the five-match series versus the Englishmen.

Bumrah was released from the squad ahead of the fourth Test of the series in Ranchi as the management and selectors continue to monitor the number of overs the pacer has bowled in the last two months, including a pair of Tests in South Africa in December-January.

The 30-year-old has been in tremendous form with the ball and stands at the top of the wickets chart for the England series with 17 scalps at a terrific average of just 13.65, including a fifer in Vizag.
