The all-important World Cup 2023 is just couple of months away and the preparation for the same is in full swing. The venues have been decided and though there could be still some changes in the venues and the schedule of the World Cup, it would be only minor changes.  Currently, the ICC reconnaissance team is on it's India tour and is visiting all the designated venues for the competition according to the report from Cricbuzz.

The ICC team has security, events and broadcast experts and started the assessment from the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The ICC team seems to be pretty satisfied with the arrangement at the Wankhede and according to Amol Kale, the president of MCA, the only thing that is left to address is the ticketing issue.

The reconnaissance team has been mainly providing suggestions on operational matters like requirements inside the ground. The team is also dealing with security within the stadium and on the player and match official areas as well as on the need of the broadcasters.

The ICC team is currently in Ahmedabad to visit  Narendra Modi Stadium - venue of the final, India-Pakistan game and the curtain raiser as well. The ICC team also visited  Chepauk in Chennai, Greenfield International Stadium in Trivandrum and M. Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru on 27, 28th and 29th respectively.

The ICC team seems to be satisfied with the facilities at Chepauk and Chinnaswamy but have suggested some changes for the corporate areas and player areas at the Greenfield International Stadium. The ICC team will visit Hyderabad after inspecting Narendra Modi Stadium and then is scheduled to move towards the north and eastern side of the country.

The World Cup is set to start on 5th of October and the final will be played on 19th of November.
