This evening, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 65th group-stage match of the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The much-awaited contest will be played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Australia's swashbuckling opening batter Travis Head missed SRH's previous encounter against SRH after being diagnosed with COVID-19. As the Sunrisers prepare for their final game of the tournament, let's see if Head will feature in tonight's clash against RCB.

Is Travis Head Available For RCB Vs SRH Match?

Australian opener Travis Head was forced to sit out in the last game against LSG, as he had caught up with COVID-19. However, in the pre-match presser, SRH bowling coach James Franklin revealed that Travis Head was declared fit and would be available for selection against RCB at Ekana Stadium tonight.

Head's recovery is a huge positive for the Sunrisers, as the Pat Cummins-led outfit would be keen to finish the tournament on a winning note. SRH, a team that qualified for the final last year, failed miserably this season, managing only four wins across twelve matches.

Who Will Sit Out If Travis Head Returns To SRH Playing XI?

Sunrisers Hyderabad used Atharva Taide as their impact player in Travis Head's absence. The southpaw opened the batting with Abhishek Sharma, who guided SRH to a convincing win with a blistering fifty.

However, Taide disappointed the Sunrisers on his maiden IPL 2025 appearance, getting dismissed for 13 runs off nine deliveries. Although he struck three boundaries, the left-handed batter was outfoxed by William O'Rourke, who got him caught by Digvesh Rathi in the second over.

Thus, if Travis Head returns, which is a most likely scenario, then SRH could go back to their tried and tested combination and replace Taide and Kamindu Mendis with Head and Jaydev Unadkat, respectively.
