As Team India prepares for their next group-stage clash against Oman in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, a crucial talking point among fans is the anticipated debut of the team’s new jersey featuring the logo of Apollo Tyres, the recently announced official sponsor.

However, according to reports, the Indian team will not don the new sponsor-branded kit in the match against Oman or in the Asia Cup 2025. The deal was completed midway through the marquee tournament, so team India will likely wear the new jersey during the upcoming West Indies tour.

The series includes two Test matches - the first match of the series will be played from October 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The second match of the series will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, from October 10.

Apollo Tyres In, Dream11 Out

The sponsorship transition comes on the heels of Dream11's exit, prompted by the Indian government's implementation of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025.

In a recent development, Apollo Tyres stepped in to replace Dream11 as the new principal sponsor of Team India, securing the rights until 2027. According to reports, Apollo Tyres will pay approximately ₹4.5 crore per match, edging out Dream11’s previous price of ₹4 crore per match.

Current Kit: Clean And Sponsor-less

For now, Team India continues to wear a simple, sponsor-free jersey, which has been in use since the start of the Asia Cup 2025. The kit features a clean design with the word 'India' printed across the chest and no commercial logo.

Talking about Team India's journey in the Asia Cup so far, the Suryakumar Yadav-led team has been in top-notch form. The Men In Blue are currently placed at the top of the points table with two wins in two matches they have played so far. The Indian team will next face Oman on September 19, 2025.
