Pakistan cricket has been going through a tough time in recent times, and their struggle has continued against India in the Asia Cup 2025. They were thoroughly outclassed with both bat and ball, and now Pakistan are in danger of getting knocked out of the tournament.

Amir Talks About Agenda In Pakistan

As always, cricket fans and former cricketers in Pakistan are targeting their players for the lacklustre performance and are questioning the selection decisions. One of the talking points is what those youngsters are doing who replaced Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in the T20I unit. Many ex-players are asking for their comeback while some are supporting the young unit and one of them is Mohammad Amir.

The cricketer took to X to express his views. In a video on his official handle, Amir highlighted that people are just spreading their agenda and were just waiting for Pakistan to lose the game.

“Kuchh logo ko main dekh raha hu apna hi agenda leke baith gaye hain. Yeh kisko leke aaye ho, ye uska muqabla karega? Matlab ki ye log wait kar rahe the ek match hare aur in baccho k peeche padh jaye."

Mohammad Amir Highlights Hypocrisy Of Pakistan Fans

Amir stated that the criticism of young players is not fair, and the people they are compared with have played a lot more. They have also taken the leadership role and have told people to avoid criticism of players based on just one or two matches.

"Aap in bachho ke peeche aise padh gaye ho. Jin playero ka naam le rahe ho, who experienced the. Panch-panch chhay-chhay saal khele hain, kaptaniya ki hain, sara kuchh kiya hain. Yeh bacche ek match kya flop huye hain, aaplog to yaar saaare peeche padh gaye ho".

He also indirectly took a dig at Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and other big superstars of Pakistan cricket. The left-arm pacer stated that they did not help Pakistan win anything significant, and so one should not be too critical of young players and give them time to grow.

"Jinki aap baat kar rahe ho na, kisine kuchh nahi ukhada. Paanch-paanch chhay-chhay saalo mein kisine kuchh nahi ukhada. Sab ke paas performances hain, stats bhi hain, kisine kuchh nahi ukhada".

Thus, there are a lot of productive and counterproductive views on Pakistan's T20I team currently, and it would be interesting to see how they perform in the rest of the tournament.
