The Asia Cup 2025 is moving towards an interesting phase now. Some teams have started well, while some have faltered, and now one more slip-up could end the dream of winning the title for some of the big teams from Asia.

One of those teams is Pakistan. They started off with a comprehensive win against Oman but were thoroughly outclassed by India and now need to win their final game against the UAE to qualify for the Super Four. On paper, Pakistan are the overwhelming favourite and they recently got the better of the UAE in the tri-series as well.

However, the UAE are no pushovers and have some quality players who can be match-winners on their day, especially in the shortest format. They also won the last game against Oman quite comfortably and would be looking to create history on September 17. Thus, here are the three UAE players who can knock Pakistan out of Asia Cup 2025.

Muhammad Waseem

Muhammad Waseem is arguably the best batter of the UAE and is also the leader of the pack. He has played plenty of memorable knocks over the years, and in the last match against Oman, too, he was the one who led from the front with a fifty.

Overall, the cricketer has different gears to his game, and when he decides to attack, he can be very destructive. His T20I stats show that he is one of the rare batters who has an average of close to 40 and a strike-rate of over 150, and thus he can disrupt Pakistan's plans on his day.

Junaid Siddique

Junaid Siddique is another experienced cricketer who has served UAE cricket for a long time. He is a genuine wicket-taker who can bowl in different phases of the game and was brilliant in the last match with a four-fer against Oman.

The right-arm pacer has played two T20Is against Pakistan and has managed four wickets. Thus, his experience and skills would be crucial for the UAE in the high-pressure environment. Also, Pakistan's openers have not been in great touch, and Junaid Siddique can exploit this weakness.

Asif Khan

Asif Khan is the most destructive batter in the middle order for UAE. He has not been able to deliver with the consistency that is expected from him in the last few matches, but he has the ability to take the game away from the opposition on his day.

He smashed 77 off just 35 balls against Pakistan at Sharjah in the tri-series recently. Thus, if he comes up with a similar performance, Salman Ali Agha and his boys could be in danger. He can bat anywhere in the batting order and UAE should try to maximise him by sending him early against Pakistan if they get off to a decent start.
