The 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will feature the Rajasthan Royals up against the Chennai Super Kings at the Barsapara Stadium. RR, the home team have been going through a rough patch as they have lost two in a row and another loss could severaly dent their confidence.

CSK, on the other hand started the tournament with a win, but were outplayed in the last match by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The match will be crucial for both the sides, but more for Rajasthan, who are certainly missing their leader, Sanju Samson.

The RR skipper was injured and only played as an impact player as Riyan Parag was given the captaincy duties. The move failed as RR lost both the games and his captaincy was criticised. So, the big question is, will Samson lead the side against CSK today?.

Will Samson lead the team Vs CSK?

As per the RR medical team, Samson was still recovering from his injury when the IPL 2025 started, and as per the medical advisory, he was urged not to keep wickets in the initial few matches as his finger was still healing.

The RR team management decided to hand over the captaincy to Riyan Parag for the first three matches, and two of those have already been completed. Hence, the upcoming clash against CSK will be the last match when Parag will lead and afterwards, Samson will be back as the leader.

When will Sanju Samson lead the Rajasthan Royals team?

After the match against CSK, RR will play against Punjab Kings on April 5 and by that time, Samson's injury would have been healed, meaning he'll be able to keep wickets and is most likely to lead the side once again.
